49 Mercury

It's the Revell 49 Mercury custom. I've had the kit for a few years now, and finally got a start on it.

The car is going to be built mostly box stock. I did remove the drip rail, and plan on using different wheels.

I got the motor pretty much built, I'm just waiting for the paint on the detail parts to dry. The engine and trans are Chevy Coronado gold. The exhaust, fan, and pulleys are pure white.

I got the body painted, sanded, and polished. The"Pinstripes" are the decals from the kit.

Got some work done on the interior, finished the engine, and figured out my wheel situation!

The interior is Ferrari Rosso red with a black carpet. The firewall has the "heat shield" in place.

The wheels are the kit chrome steels Dechromed and painted Peterbilt flame red Metallic. The tires have the whitewall painted on them.

It's coming together, and looking great.

I got the chassis done. The exhaust needs tips, but they will be added after the body is mounted.

The interior is done. The dash and steering wheel are painted in the same Peterbilt red as the wheels. The pin striping is another decal from the kit.

The Ferrari red is from Scalefinishes.com (my website) It's an interior color.

I didn't realize that I hadn't posted the body color. It's Nissan LAC Ultimate Black Opal, it's used on the GT-R SpecV.

That is looking great. I like the decal work with the pinstripes. Have you managed to get some paint in spray cans yet? I did get an airbrush given to me recently but I don't have a hose for it yet. How can I get a list of your paints available?

Thank you for all the responses, I just got this car finished and posted in the under glass section.

I did not get any spraycans that deal fell through, and the only place I can get the cans from are very expensive.

There is a whitewall tutorial in the tips and tricks section.
