curt raitz Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I used the BHP Enterprises TransAM Mustang Transkit, Revell's Rain-X TransAm Camaro and a set of Slixx Decals for this build. Once the resin transkit was cleaned up, flash wasn't bad at all, wheels are delicate...so took it easy cleaning those. The extra effort was worth it, the wheels look great compared to those in the kit. I originally was going to use the resin body from Competition Resins, but the BHP Enterprises body is better and closer to scale The inspiration: Body and Chassis: Wheels and Tires: One finished TransAm Mustang: Thanx for lookin' 1
bsoder Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) I love the look of those cars, and you did your usual fine work..don't know if I'll make it to the NNL ....car issues, money issues,etc..but if I do maybe I'll get a chance to see it live! Edited January 30, 2010 by bsoder
James Flowers Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Looks like you nailed the look of that car. Nice work.
Dragline Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Beautiful build Curt. The fade is gorgeous. Trans Am cars are some of the sexiest out there, and they turn right as well as left so that seals the deal. It looks like the trans-kit was a cinch as well. I love it when a plan comes together. Bob
karbuildr Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Great build, I love the paint and decals, very well done.
Raul_Perez Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Another GREAT build, my old friend!! I guess that I should try to finish something before the show...I've got a '56 Chevy that's been about 90% finished for the past two years... Later,
Bernard Kron Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Beautiful work. Great impact. Looking forward to seeing it at NNL West.
slowbird Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Fantastic build. I really like it, makes me wish I could build with that kind of detail and complex painting.
