WickedWelder Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Wow, nice work area's. All i have for now is the dinning room table after everone else is bed....lol. hopefully one day i will have a dedicated area to work in. thanks for sharing the pics. Gary
crazyjim Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Wow George - nice work area. Looks like you're very organized and neat - the way a building area should be. You have more kits and supplies than my LHS. Love what you did with the paint spoons. I drilled holes in the handles and put them on a shower curtain hook. Don't have as many as you though. How did you do the blue paint holders? Just drill holes in a 1" x 4"? Or is that a special stand? I could use something like that.
crazyjim Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) I have mine tiered but not drilled. Appreciate it if you could find the article. The normal square Testor's bottles would require lots of chisel work. Maybe when you put your LHS out of bussiness you could snag their paint racks. Is there a decent LHS in Sprinfield? I need to be up there May 12 -16, 2010 for my ViêtNow convention. Edited February 7, 2010 by crazyjim
disabled modeler Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 WOW! George, You have a really nice work area! Its great to see someone within 100 miles of me....Quincy,IL. This town is not the place to live if your a modeler. My work area is way to small. Yours is great! Mark

Railfreak78 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 My workspace is actually a huge hobby room loft. My roomate (Mudpit602 (Toby) and I share paints tools and products. He has a few models and a few collectables however everything else non model thats up now is mine. I just moved so this room is not fully set up yet but it's multi functional with Models, HO scale trains, Hot Wheels, and my Nascar collection. I also have 3 Rats that sit next to me and watch me This is installment 1....
Railfreak78 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 and Toby's stuff is here.... Maybe I'll get some Train stuff and my drum set up later... Enjoy!!!
Tony T Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Okay, you guys are making me sick! I have a great space, but thanks to you guys, it just ain't gonna cut it! I need to clean, and reorganize...Thanks a lot...

Railfreak78 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Nice areas everyone! Jason man your killin me with some of those Nascar kits I want
Jason Vandergriff Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Hey Jason,I don't think I would get much done if I had my PC on the workbench with me,and for sure I would'nt get anything done if I had a bottle of liquor in front of me Nice collection you got going on there by the way. Well I really dont get much done but I learn alot lol. The bottle is a left over from a party but It looked cool so I kept it. Ive got plans for it one day but until then it will remain a paper weight. Thanks for the compliment on the collection.
bestdetailer Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Im new to this forum. This is my work bench. And my newest project.
crazyjim Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 New to the forum Rob but obviously not new to the hobby. Welcome.
wgflatliner Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 i'm sure i take the award for the dirtiest work bench. for now. the computer is for music, and research on cars, etc. now.. i REALLY need to find a place with a large room so i can have a dedicated work space lol btw although there may be stuff that looks like trash.. there probably is and now that i've posted up pics of it i need to clean.
Railfreak78 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Welcome to the club Rob! Nice spot you have there. Mark It works I think all you really need is a place for the paint and it would really open it up. I wish my comp was where I work but then again I may never get nothin done lol
Flatout Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Some really nice workspaces out there... Started building almost 2 years ago and I'm still on the "breakfast" table and painting out in the garage. The only real hassle is having to clean up all the time. Aloha...Pete
Fuel Coupe Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Heres mine, Its a bit messy right now. And part of the stash I really wish Matt would post his up. He has a whole garage enclosed for his. Very impressive..
mageckman Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Here's mine. I just got done rearranging and adding more storage space for my kits.
