mrmike Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) This is my '66 Barracuda from MCW. It is painted with Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red. The chassis is from the AMT '69 Barracuda with tires from the AMT '71 Charger R/T kit. Many pieces where swapped with the chrome plated parts from the Hemi Under Glass kit. Jon Cole Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Nice fish, Mike! You going to bring it to Masscar or the NNL East?
mrmike Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Thanks guys! I don't know if I'll be bringing it to any shows just yet. I usually just attend shows and leave my models at home. I may wait until later in the year.
charlie8575 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Great job, Mike! I can honestly say a beauty like that would be very, very welcomed at MassCar if you bring it down. Charlie Larkin
Harold Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Great job. I always liked the looks of these cars, and you did it justice .

mrmike Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Thank you everyone! I appreciate the kind words! This is my first resin kit and i'm sure it won't be my last. I am considering the '70 Charger R/T from Modelhaus. We shall see.
Railfreak78 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Refreshing to see some steelies on that fish. I like the drag versions too but way to go be different.
mrmike Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Thanks Eric and Brian! Yes, it is RED!!!!! Red happens to be one of my favorite colors.
el Presidente Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Nice build Mike. I had 2 1:1 Cuda's a 64 and a 66 with the 225 slant 6. I built the Monogram 1/32 kit. I like the paint job, very nice.
MrObsessive Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) That's a real cool fish Mike! This is one car that's also begging to be made into a modern kit! One kitted up real nice with some street options I'm sure would FLY off the shelves! Edited February 19, 2010 by MrObsessive
mrmike Posted February 20, 2010 Author Posted February 20, 2010 Thanks Bill and I definitely agree with you! I know I would buy several (or more) kits!
