Sounds like Moebius has a really good response to the kit! Here's what they had to say today:

"It's been pretty popular so far with distributors. I think it will sell well enough that we can do some of the other new International vehicles. No rush on it for sure, this is actually our second year into this particular kit, it's been a long time coming for us!"

Sounds great!

Chris

So they have plans to be the modern day 'ERTL'.

Like there are not any other model manufactures that offer automobile subjects!

Well, if it makes you feel any better I would rather have a U series Autocar or a mid-fifties KW, But I am not holding my breath...

Have you checked AITM lately?

I got a reply from Moebius as to why they chose to make the Lone Star in 1/25th scale. They said they decided to make it compatible with all of the AMT and Revell kits, rather than the Italeri kits. That means all of the old Ertl International parts would be in the same scale. They said they are new to automotive vehicles and stuck with 1/25th scale.

Oh there are plenty, Moebius itself included! :P The Lonestar, the Chrysler, and the Hudson, put me down for two of each please!

Now if somebody would just release a first generation Scout or a pickup/Travelall of ANY body style...

daily. The kw is there, willl be buying one when the budget permits, no U series autocar. A KW complete kit would be nice, and a Hall-Scott for power please...

So pumped for this! Cant wait. Maybe they should try and branch off into some Pickup trucks..I bet if we all email them saying how much we want modern pickups or Big Rigs. They will step up being a new company and wanting to impress. Revell and AMT would have no choice but to follor in the foot steps to keep business competitive

Wonder why a MAN engine? That doesn't make sense to me. Personally, I'm hoping for the MaxxForce engine that Navastar makes.

MAN an Navistar have a joint venture with a new high horse power engine.

It has now been pushed back to Feb. 2011.......

Where did you get this information? I have first hand knowledge that it is still scheduled for December 2010.

The MANN engine is the new MaxxForce 11 & 13. I work for a dealer and we have sold several ProStars with the engine. Navistar will no longer have Cummins engines in our trucks. We are staying with the EGR emissions system and Cummins is going to the way of SCR that uses a urea type fluid to contribute to emissions control. Our EGR system will not use this system, saving weight, and money the way our engineers see it. As was said earlier, Caterpillar is no longer in the "automotive" engine business. I think there is some info @ www.internationaldelivers.com. Can't wait for the Lone Star kit to come out!
