Its real and looks real. I say it makes a nice Indy car and/or Salt Flats racer. Air flow control science seems to be the idea here as well as safety. Cool pic!

Dad and I were looking at that at the Chicago Auto Show, he's thinking that with the shape of that nose piece and the extra narrow tires, it should steer pretty good if they have their math right.

The video they show of several of them going around the track, reminds me of a speed racer show. I would like to see one in person though.

We had plans of going to the Auto Show in Philadelphia unfortunately it snowed like mad the last days of the show when we were going to go.Seeing this really makes me wish we had gone.Definitely Speed Racerish!

Just using vehicles like that in a race would increase fans overnight I would think. How far in the future are these or are they just concepts?

Here's my pix.

I can see a Bonneville or LSR vehicle, not so much Indy or circle track car. Too long and the front end is far too narrow and front tires far too small to maintain stability in the turns at speed.
