caine440 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) Here is one I did for a contest on another board. It is a different type of build for me and my first attempt at a Gasser. The photos do not show the interior but it came with molded in seats so I had to cut them out and put in a flat floor. Same with the chassis as everything was molded in so it had to be cut out and replaced. Thanks for looking. Edited March 7, 2010 by caine440
Kris Morgan Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Very cool. Is that a custom made decal on the roof?
caine440 Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 With help of friends teaching me how to make simple decals I made the lettering and the goofy roof decal.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 (edited) That is Way Cool. Looks like your decal making is pretty Top Notch. Was that actually a kit or a Promo you converted ? Sean Edited March 8, 2010 by Sean D
Sixties Sam Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Ho, ho, ho! That's really cool! The giant decal is great! Sam
caine440 Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 It was a Johan kit from ebay. I just kept my eyes out for one that the price did not go through the roof. They made a stock one and a police version. This was the stock version. Thanks!
oldscool Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 That is insanity! I love it and so does Sprout oldscool
W-409 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 That's impressive! Love those gassers. That wagon body makes this different.
Dragline Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 (edited) Killer build Caine. Simply Killer! I'll bet if it was a real car it would be hard on driveline parts, it's such a beast! You are becoming an excellent modeler my friend. I see a difference from your first posts, to this current build. Your progress has been fun to watch. Bob Oh BTW, is that Testors Fathom Green? I just painted my Baldwin Motion Camaro with it and that looks like it. What great paint that Testors Laquer is. Edited March 8, 2010 by Dragline
caine440 Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 Thanks for the kind words. The dark green is Dupli-Color auto spray. I am not even sure what color it is. It was just the best looking dark green that the auto parts store had. The roof is testors acyclic teal. No good hobby shops near here so I go to the parts store.
