Here's the finished Mack logger. I'll get some better pics of it outside later with a full load of logs. The orange color doesn't take good indoor pics. The trailer is scratch built with the suspension cast in metal from an old ERTL trailer. The bunks, cab guard, and various other fittings are either made from scratch or cast in resin by me.

I always wonder how these trailers were placed over the truck those days. How is it happens?

They would have a crane at the sort that would lift it up into position after unloading. The yarder would lift it off at the other end. Check Hanks, you might even be able to find a pic.

Heres a link. Scroll down. In this sequence, they are actually unloading the trailer with a grapple loader, but it gives you the idea. Nice Mack, by the way.
