Boy that turned out nice.  I remember back in the day taking a long trip from southern Indiana to Virginia in a bus about that same color and no AC.

Thank you Bob.

Way back in the days of our youth, my wife had a '71 Bus in just about the same shade of blue. We weren't too worried about the lack of AC back then but man that thing was slow.

I used to tease her with phrases like: "The car that goes from 0 to 60 5.6 hours." "If you ever need to time this thing, forget the stopwatch, bring a calendar." "Now I know why all the Hippies had long hair and beards. Because it took them so long to go anywhere in their VW Busses that they needed a shave and haircut when they got there."

Haha....I hear ya.  We didn't know what AC was but it was just so Hot with everyone piled in the bus.  I broke down on us about 20 miles from home.

We had that problem too.

With ours, in the summer the engine bay would heat up so badly that the gas would boil in the fuel line and vapor lock.

Excellent work David!! I just built one of these with fewer windows than yours. Is this the Samba kit?

Thank you for your kind comment Anders. Yes, it is one of Revell's reissues of the Samba kit but I don't recall exactly which one. It had no interior door panels nor a pedal cluster but it has poseable front wheels. There was no provision nor information in the directions for opening the barn doors but they were obviously cast to be cut open. It seemed to be a kind of slapdash reissue of a good quality kit. Nothing wrong with it, just more basic than originally intended.
