curt raitz Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Here be my Yenko Camaro... license plate says it all...
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 This is one of my favorites. Keep in mind that is in 1/12th scale and modified from a Z/28 to an SS396. I've had 'em in the past and am in the market for another one... Or two!
VW Dave Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I did this one around 1994 with a mix of cast-off Yenko and RS parts: Front bumper had bad chrome, so it got the color-keyed treatment; I also sanded the backside of the grille to open it up:
Scalper Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 Some Great Looking Models. The Revell kit is a very nice kit. The detail is very nice. Going to work more on mine tonight after work. Thanks for sharing guys. Keep em coming if you have em.
7000in5th Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 A 1969 Camaro that I modified from a Revell kit to represent a car that I saw Mark Donohue drive in the Trans-Am series at the Mid-Ohio race track in 1969. Model built in 1991, picture taken 2005. Fred Cady decals. They were unfortunately thin and light. The wheel color is more accurate.
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Here's an MPC 1969 Camaro I built about 8 years ago. That's right, I said MPC!!! Enjoy!!!
Scalper Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 Right on. some nice pro tours and a great Classic. Very nice!
dencon Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Mine is not finished yet. I got a little frustrated with it a few months ago and put it away. My model car buds keep telling me to bust it back out and finish it. Maybe I should. Matt
Scalper Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 Looks Great.Get er Done. Are those the rims from the mpc flip nose Vette?
Smart-Resins Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Another terrific one and this ones just my speed! LOL. Het r done!! Jody
dencon Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) Looks Great.Get er Done. Are those the rims from the mpc flip nose Vette? No, those come from the Revell 88 Bob Glidden Pro Stock T-Bird. Here are the wheels from that vette kit your thinking about. But it is not that MPC Flip nose. AMT came out with another 50 somthing vette that was more of a street machine and all new tooling. It was green on the box. That had these wheels and a few other really cool goodies. A very overlooked kit because everyone thought it was just a rebox of that nasty Flip nose Vette.
