Edsel-Dan Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 OK I can add a little The 59 Ford Wagon was the mid-level 4dr Country Sedan I have Both Styrene Toy, and Deluxe Dealer Acetate Promo!! Both have the same flat tin plate chassis with flywheel/friction motor!! The toy is Body only with silver/gray bumpers The Promo has interior, Windows and Hubcaps in the tires Deluxe Promo: Toy being Rebuilt with Revel Skyliner parts Note the Minor Twist to the interior, and overall Shrinking oif the 2-tone Promo vs the Turq Styrene Toy body The Revell Grill fits almost perfectly And Yes do remove the front bumper extensions, Strip the chrome and glue to the front fender Surprisingly, The mold parting line Should be LEFT there as those were still Separate parts even when chromed!!!!!!! BUT, Revell NEVER had clear red lenses for their Fairlane 500 Skyliner I have TWO built Originals, and the lens is cast with the Bezel and Chrome I did Drill/inset the tail light area to accept the Rev piece See here the work done to adapt the PMC body to accept the Rev chassis And the tail lights; AMT DID have the clear-red lenses in their Galaxie kits I also have the Ranchero Toy issue Bob Swartz in Savannah, Mo did offer resin copies of both of MY PMC 59 Fords at one time But I have not heard of him in many years Were Bagged kits done only in Acetate? or also styrene?? I now wonder if the 'Admiral Blue' Chevy promo I have is PMC one of those above has the paint name on the roof like mine I have A Fleetline fastback And folder with more pictures; http://s145.photobucket.com/user/EdselDan/library/Models/Chevy Fleetline bank?sort=3&page=1

While the trunk is different, the hood/trunk ornaments are identical, as is the offset horizontal line on the rear fender. The only place I've ever seen that offset horizontal line on the fender is from molds like mine.
disabled modeler Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I have there 53..? International pickup and 59 Ford station wagon ones. the wagon is warped horribly but the pickup still looks pretty decent but is missing the front bumper to it.
paul alflen Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 ED OR ELLEN, THE RESIN 1954 PLYMOUTH WAGON IN 1/25TH SCALE WAS MADE BY PERRYS RESIN AT ONE TIME .
Motor City Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 For the '51-'54 Chevy promos, if it's plastic, it was made by PMC.
ChrisBcritter Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 (edited) Is there any chance PMC produced the 1/25 scale Texaco station for Buddy L as a subcontractor, or did they just supply the vehicles that came with it (IIRC '59 Ranchero or '60 Chevy sedan)? Boy, if the molds for that ever turned up...! Edited March 2, 2017 by ChrisBcritter
Mike999 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 In case somebody runs into this one on eBay: many years ago, I had a resin '59 Country Sedan that was mastered from the PMC promo. This was in the early 90s, and the seller went by the name "California Cars" or something similar. Somebody in here probably remembers him. The light-brown resin body was pretty nice and included an unchromed grille and bumpers. It fit the Revell 59 Skyliner fairly well. But at some point, I got tired of fiddling with it and traded it off, along with the Revell donor kit.
black frog Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Well, they are now up for sale on Ebay if interested. We will see what happens......
Eshaver Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 ED OR ELLEN, THE RESIN 1954 PLYMOUTH WAGON IN 1/25TH SCALE WAS MADE BY PERRYS RESIN AT ONE TIME . Thanks Paul !!!! I never did know who did the resin body I got off a model builder here years back .
Edsel-Dan Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Not sure on the "California Models" But around that time Bob Swartz from Savannah, Mo did offer the 59 Country Sedan & Ranchero in Resin Tan Brown in color I still have 1 or 2 left of those he sent me for the use of my bodies You can tell they are mine by the drilled out tail-light locations to ude the Revell parts And the extended lower rear body to sit on the Rev Chassis Also the Ranchero had the slots opened for the Fender Ornaments Bob Called his Company "Model Cars & Parts" This 59 EDSEL Villager Body is from one of Bob's Wagon castings. The EDSEL front clip was also one of his I wish I knew what happened to him It would be nice to get those PMC bodies of mine back out there in Resin This Villager was to go to him for casting too!!!!
