doomcrew Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 hello. here's a model i built in '97. it's based on our old friend the revell 32 ford 3 window. i opened up the doors and boot lid and hinged them on scratchbuilt hinges. the paint is auto colour flat black with hand painted lettering. there are over thirty turned ally parts, not including the aftermarket exhaust tips and blower pulleys. the valve cover are pewter and the blower is from the parts bin. the engine is from a revell pro-mod. thanks for tuning in. steve
peter31a Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Steve, I appreciate all the work you put into that 32. It's one sweet piece!
Raul_Perez Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Very nice work, Steve!! The machined parts look GREAT!! Thanks for sharing,
Glen Edmondson Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Awesome model, well done, fantastic detail, and i love the old school matt black finish. Great effort. Glen
weasel Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 what they said!!! really, hit it right on the nose!!
doomcrew Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 thanks guys. this won a best street rod award at a show here in the UK back in 97, and when i built it i wanted to do something a little different with a hot rod. it was going to have a 3" chop but decided against it, opening the doors was good enough. steve
Sixties Sam Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Excellent!! Great details and finish. The aluminum parts really add a lot to the good looks! Sam
