bluemoose Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Here's the AMT '29 ford woody I just finished. It's box stock, except for some parts box suspension components to get the stance, along with parts box tires. The paint is Tamiya chrome yellow, and the wood is two shades of a mix of testors tan, yellow, and leather enamels.
Foxer Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 You defiantly got a good stance and the wood looks fantastic!

bluemoose Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Looks good nice colors i have this kit in my collection waiting to be built are there any problem areas that you had with the build. Thanks! Yes, there is one problem area: It takes a lot of time and trimming to get the grille shell and hood to line up. Otherwise I thought the fit of the model was very good.
charlie8575 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Your pictures wouldn't load, so I looked at your album. Very nice work on everything. Charlie Larkin

bluemoose Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Wow that is great! The wood looks outstanding! How did you get that look with the wood? Thanks Speedster, I thinned down the paint with about 50% lighter fluid and 50% paint, and brushed on just one coat letting some of the gray plastic show through. Then I cleared with Tamiya semi gloss clear.
