MrObsessive Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 '77 Chevelle Laguna Stock Car?? Hooray!! I can turn that into one of my favorite cars when in high school back then!! The 1975-76 Laguna S3.......... Minus the side stripe of course....... Hmmm.............I feel a '73-'74 Pontiac Grand Am comin' on too!
62rebel Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 bill, didja ever notice how much the dodge magnum copied that look?
S. Svendsen Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Thanks for the compliment. I don't know if the Dodge has the dirt bike with it or not. I haven't seen a test shot on that yet.
Bob Doebley Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Is the 63 Tempest a Stock kit or the Fuunt CAr?
MrObsessive Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 bill, didja ever notice how much the dodge magnum copied that look? Yeah, the Magnum does resemble that front end! Like the saying goes......."The more things change, the more they stay the same".
Guest zebm1 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Sean has a very kool website, a little slow to get thru, extensive use of tha back button, but very kool nonethaless.
Lyle Willits Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Sean - I just looked at your website. All of your models are wonderful. You are quite talented.
Lyle Willits Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Is the 63 Tempest a Stock kit or the Fuunt CAr? What the hell is a Fuunt CAr? I don't know how they ever elected you president. Tommy must have been your speech writer,,,,or is that speach righter
S. Svendsen Posted January 19, 2007 Author Posted January 19, 2007 Thanks for the compliments. Your right my website is getting a little long in the tooth by today's standards. It's about 8 years old. I would love to redo it but it's got too much stuff on there now to change it. Maybe some day. The '63 Tempest kit is the same Altered Wheel Base kit that was re-issued a few years ago. Dave just wanted to do a new box for it. This one should end up being pretty rare as there will only be about 1000 made. Here's a picture and a link to more pictures. http://homepage.mac.com/ssven5/Sites/Svens.../63tempest.html
Harvezter Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Mack DM600? Sweet! I cant wait to see this kit.
Casey Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Hi, I'm new to the board. I am working on some upcoming box art projects for Dave Burket and he ask me to let you guys know about some of the upcoming kits that will be re-issued in '07-'08. 1/32 scale '34 Ford altered & Fiat altered combo kit These were the old Monogram Ford Screamer and Hemi Fiat kits, correct? Is it known why they were never reissued by Model King?
iangilly Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Don't remember ever seeing this one "'73 Challenger funny car w/ trailer and '77 Dodge fleetside pickup combo"
S. Svendsen Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 These were the old Monogram Ford Screamer and Hemi Fiat kits, correct? Is it known why they were never reissued by Model King? I believe one of the 1/32 kits needed some retooling (I can't remember which one) and the cost wasn't worth it.
S. Svendsen Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Don't remember ever seeing this one "'73 Challenger funny car w/ trailer and '77 Dodge fleetside pickup combo" This one also died when the Dodge pickup tooling was also found to need too much re-tooling to turn it back to stock from the monster truck version.
towtruck Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 maybe I'm kinda stooped or ????? but did he say reissued on '07 & 08 ? really ?
towtruck Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 sorry I just saw how OLD this post is..DUH...my bad !!!
Mr mopar Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 What ever happen to Model King? did Dave give up on this! I like the kits he bought out.

What's been so heavily-butchered with the D / W 100-200 Dodge Truck that makes its tooling so unworkable ? I remember that its hood was butchered ; however , was its bed "fiddled-with" too ? Can't the Little Red Express be employed for its parts , even if its only contributions are its hood and chassis ?
Jantrix Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) What ever happen to Model King? did Dave give up on this! I like the kits he bought out. I'm curious about this myself. EDIT: Never mind. Looks like they are working with Revell and Moebius Edited January 15, 2015 by Jantrix
Porscheman Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Dave is doing fine. He attends our monthly meetings of the Jersey Shore model car club

horsepower Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 If you go back through the thread it says it was dropped because the tooling for the pickup was going to take to much work to restore it to the stock status after being altered for the monster truck kit.
