Chuck Most Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 This would be the Motor City Resin Casters kit, with a few hot-rod touches-
Nick Winter Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Does that say Retro instead of Metro on the front?
Chuck Most Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 (edited) Nope- it says Metro. I couldn't have made the letters that nice and in scale! I was going to BMF the letters, then paint and polish the paint off the letters, but I forgot and had to foil them after paint, and I SUCK at cutting stuff like lettering! Harry P. Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Very unique and very cool! But dang, man... that model just cries out for a two-tone paint scheme...
whale392 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Very cool! A friend here has a 62 Ford breadtruck that looks very similar shape-wise to that.
Chuck Most Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Very unique and very cool! But dang, man... that model just cries out for a two-tone paint scheme... Yeah, I was thinking orange over black, or yellow over black, but I just went with School Bus Yellow all the way 'cuz I'm a lazy oaf!

Chuck Most Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Cool looking model. I like it. but one thing. the wheels I thknk they need a bit a black wash. I could agree, but those wheel covers you see in the photos may be temporary.
Scalper Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I could agree, but those wheel covers you see in the photos may be temporary. They look good. better with blash wash. 58 59 Impala?
James Flowers Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Something you do not see everyday. I like it a lot.
Greg Cullinan Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Cool looking little truck. Your paint looks good and I dig the decals.
David G. Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 A very cool model, I enjoy seeing unusual subjects like this modeled, and yours came out nicely. Does that say Retro instead of Metro on the front? Daaang! I was gonna make that joke. The "Retro Metro" I figured I had the right because the vanity plate on my 1:1 '71 Olds is RETRO 1 Very cool! A friend here has a 62 Ford breadtruck that looks very similar shape-wise to that. How appropriate to have a bread truck shaped like a loaf of bread?
Chuck Most Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 They look good. better with blash wash. 58 59 Impala? Yep- they came from the AMT '58 Impala.

Plastistruct does have a set of 1/16" tall letters available if you look at their list online. I used them to put the METRO on the front of my recently finished Metro step van.
