Chuck Most Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Other than the wheels and steering wheel (AMT '60 Chevy Street Machine Pickup), and, of course, the engine (Revell Deuce 5-Window), it's alarmingly box stock: I painted over the all red-taillamp lenses (yeah- I let off in the Rants and Raves section about that subject), left the cornering lamps clear to resemble the aftermarket APC units, and hosed it off in Dark Highland Green I had left over from building an '08 Mustang Bullitt. Not my best work, but it kept me from beign totally bored for a couple of days!
george 53 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Funny how well that 5.0 looks in that engine compartment, like it SHOULD be there.
Harry P. Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Hmmmmmm... don't know what to make of this one. Definitely not a typical C-mos creation... kinda sleepy, kinda boring... not a bad job, but I hafta ask... why? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

James Flowers Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Not a bad looking plain wrapper you there. My son had a V8 Ranger for awhile it was a fun truck to drive. But I will take my 97 over it. It is way more comfortable than the V8 was. The 4.0 has all the get up and go I need these days.
jedimastergary Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Looks good love the V8 under the hood makes it look like a cool ride
RodneyBad Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I hafta ask... why? Why? Why Not? That does make a Cool Looking Lil Truck. Of Course it defeats the purpose of buying a lil truck for Fuel economy Cool Beans.
Joe Handley Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Why not do it to do it, might not hurt the mileage much either since that motor wouldn't have to work all that hard
beefheart22 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Looking good chuck. An eight banger in a Ranger would be heluvafun.
Chuck Most Posted May 22, 2010 Author Posted May 22, 2010 Hm... i like this. What kit is this? AMT Ertl, it's basically a modified reissue of the '93 STX kit.
62rebel Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 cool build, i usually don't do "modern" vehicles but i got one of these for christmas a few years back... and i always ALWAYS do my best building the ones my wife gets me for christmas.... i learned MY lesson a LOOONNG time ago... "is that the one i got you?" (like she doesn't KNOW)
