Gonzo's Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Here is a 1956 Buick Super using a Hendrix resin as a starting point. Much scratch work was done to get this as correct as possible. I think the wideee's and Kelsey Hayes wires were a good match for this ride. Check out the article with many pictures in different lighting, here.>56 Buick
MrObsessive Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Beautiful!! Looks a lot like my Great-Grandmother's '55 (same basic shape) that I can remember riding around in when I was a wee one!
Jim Gibbons Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Beautiful work! A friend of mine had a '56 Super 4Dr Hardtop we used to cruise in. All white lower body, black roof, red & black interior. I loved that car.
W-409 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 That's nice, awesome paintjob, very shiney and autentic looking. Those tires and wheels are just perfect to this and your work with Bare Metal Foil looks very nice. Great model!
Zhu Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Exquisite. A fastidious & exacting build & drop dead gorgeous as well. I doff my hat to you sir. Davey.
FordWagonNut Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 That body is just rolling art. I REALLY like the colors you used.
charlie8575 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 nice, where did the wires come from? Second the question. That body is just rolling art. I REALLY like the colors you used. Second the motion. Another fantastic build of yours! Charlie Larkin
Gonzo's Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Second the question. Second the motion. Another fantastic build of yours! Charlie Larkin Thanks to everyone who as posted here. This really means alot to me. I love this Buick color scheme. I thought maybe I would not until I looked at it. I knew that it needed the optional wires which were offered on the real car. It gives it a low slung appearence without alterations. I build factory stock, because this is what my customers order 99% of the time. Usually their real car, or one they had. Though I built all the cars on my site, I own none of them. Even the Buick is at Ebay right now. I build a spec. car every once in awhile for Ebay so people there still know I am around. The wires are from the Modelhaus. Thanks again, now back to the shop. Gonzo
