I mean, you don't see a lot of Scout models out there... please keep us posted.. it looks like an interesting project.
jeffs396
That'll be cool if you can pull off backdating a 70s Scout II into a 1969 800A! I'll be watching!
Railfreak78
Actually looks like a clean snap on the windshield frame so it might be able to be saved with a little body filler. Good luck from someone else that likes to restore.

Chuck Most
That's way too new to be a '69 (The Scout II didn't come until '72), but if you wanted to convert it into one, THAT would be cool! Cooler still if you made it available in resin.
Jordan White
Actually, the Scout II came out in 1971.
Chuck Most
Actually, the Scout II came out in 1971. Yep- '71... why is that 2 so close to the 1 on the keyboard! The old Ertl kits had the '76 style grille, and all the reissues I've seen have the '78-9 Grille (remove the vertical grille bars and it's a '78!)And they all had that weird curve to them! I really like this kit, even though it is a bit crude, and I really can't wait to see how this one turns out!
