miatamadman Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I just could'nt wait for Testors police car version to be released.....so I dipped into my parts box and came up with this. I still have a few more small details to add and then I'll call it done.
SkootzRodShop Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 looks awesome! i have a Impala SS that i did the squad conversion to. only thing i would of done diff. was the arrowstick to have more amber instead of all red/blue. love the radar as well.
Zoom Zoom Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Looks great 8) I'm anxiously awaiting that one myself; I've seen SC and GA highway patrol Chargers and a Doraville GA Magnum cruiser (could be a good kitbash). I've built the Testors Daytona and the SRT-8, I see you had to resort to the same trick as I did for the backup lights  I have a feeling that Chargers police cars will be a very common sight in the near future. Glad that Testors has 'em covered. Wonder what kind of goodies will be in the box?
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Way to go Zoli! Bob: So long as it comes with the latest high tech hardware (video camera, low-pro LEd lightbar and so forth), I'll be VERY happy. It's a shame that Revell dropped the ball on the Impala's police equipment.
Rosco P. Coltrane Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 That looks SWEET!! Very clean build.
Zoom Zoom Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Way to go Zoli! Bob: So long as it comes with the latest high tech hardware (video camera, low-pro LEd lightbar and so forth), I'll be VERY happy. It's a shame that Revell dropped the ball on the Impala's police equipment. I hear you! I sure hope they have some great modern gear. That Impala is kind of disappointing, partly because of the generic gear, and partly because it was of a car that had a complete restyling by the time the kit hit the shelves. Lindberg pulled the same trick w/their '97 Crown Vic, a kit that hit the shelves right about the time Ford updated the car for '98 with the Grand Marquis square roof and restyled front end. Sheesh, the timing of models getting on the market is such you'd think someone would plan ahead...
Matt T. Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Nice and clean, just like always, Zoli. Great job! I passed a New York State Trooper Charger doing speed patrol on I-90 in Albany last night. They're dark metallic blue with a yellow/gold side stripe and black wheels - VERY mean looking.
Guest zebm1 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Yall are gonna give Art nightmares. He's been trying to time these cars up in his neighborhood. Why would ...." is kinda like looking in my rear view mirror....and seeing a Police car!" - Buffalo Springfield - Anthem of tha Revolution Zeb
