1320wayne Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Well, here is my current project (one of about 20 ongoing at the same time). A 2006 Revell Dodge Magnum. I am lowering the suspension and adding Aoshimas wheels. This is actually the second paint job. The first one was going good until the clear coat process cracked severely enough to warrant a trip to the strip tank. It will have a texture paint light tan inetrior but other tha thos changes it will be primarily a box stock buildup. Here was the first paint job that went South real quick. And then the new paint job. Pretty much a complete 180 from the first design.
JAFFA Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 real sweet! that looks great! only i'd have gone for a silver metalic instead of white.. JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION....NO MATTERS OF IT WHAT SO EVER But this looks very good to!!

cruz Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 In my opinion I like the 1st color better and it went very nice with that decal on the side but of course your current paint job is also very cool
slantasaurus Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Hhhhmmmm, seems like I've seen this before......LOL !!! Must be my imagination or deja vu all over again. Wasn't expecting to run in to you over here.
1320wayne Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Here are some pics. of the interior and grill work. The grill was done by cutting out the plastic and adding mesh material. The interior was painted with Valspar texture paint and added flocking.
JAFFA Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 nice grillejob!, and is that flocking or carpeting on the trunkbed? Oh, whilst i remember, how did ya do the yellow edge pin-stripes on the first paintjob?
1320wayne Posted February 19, 2007 Author Posted February 19, 2007 nice grillejob!, and is that flocking or carpeting on the trunkbed? Oh, whilst i remember, how did ya do the yellow edge pin-stripes on the first paintjob? The trunk bed is flocking. I also used the same flocking on the seat inserts. I need to take a couple of pics. of the interior before completing the model. All of the color graphics (including the yellow) on the first paint job was decal. Thanks for the comments.
sno_man80 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 where do you get flocking from? and who made the kit?
1320wayne Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 where do you get flocking from? and who made the kit? I get my flocking from a local hobby store. You can also get it from Detail Master and probably many other mail order sites. The kit is from Revell.
