Hello......another older build.....but this one is kinda special to me.......as a kid I loved this model.......ask me why now and I will tell you I don`t know why?.........I guess I thought it was cool......well I bought 2 of them from Ebay......I wanted to make one right away and then make a better one after that........I removed the body lines from the dragon.....painted H.O.K. gold base with a organic green kandy over that ......then I used various Bingo dauber colors.....I like the way it came out so I went with it........the next one I do I will get rid of all the mold lines and strip the chrome and use alclad......I did the same thing with the 60`s Revell "Evil Iron" ......I will post that next week......thank`s

Hey John,

Man, you never cease to amaze me, have been watching for these on Ebay as well, once in awhile see one missing parts or already build, when I see one in box, $$$$ too much for me!! You did a great job on this trike, have loved this since it first was issued, you did the paint such justice, looks different than I've ever seen before, love the way you always put your personality and passion into your models, just such a joy and pleasure to look at. As always John, thanks for posting and sharing with your friends here!!

I too loved this kit as a youngster. I built one that came out cool many years ago and it's in my Fathers collection now. I think there is a Tom Daniel chopper with the propeller and the Evil Iron there as well.

I have a Chain Gang bike I'm going to do someday. These kits are soooo cool John.

This one is the coolest I think Ive ever seen.

Awesome buddy.

That is just amazingly flat-out cool, John! I'm guessing it probably could not be ridden if it was 1:1, though ... the power from that Corvair Flat 6 would flip it clean over! :o

Please explain more about the bingo daubers and how you used those ...

Khart.......after I had painted the the whole dragon kandy green.......I was looking for a lighter lime green to use and I had remembered a color from a bingo dauber "Yes I do play bingo once and a while" it`s a mom and son kinda thing.....anyway I took the dauber and poped the cap put it in the airbrush.......beacuse it`s already pre- mixed I shot it through the airbrush.......I knew that if I didn`t like it I could just wash it off with warm water.......but what happened was the color did not cover well at all what it did was bubble up with color......I thought that looked cool but I wanted it to cover what I was airbrushing......so what I did was I hand brushed the color on then after it dried I went back over some spots with a different dauber color over the kandy green and got that bubble efect.......after it dried I clear coated and that is what turned out.....thank`s for asking.

After seeing your Evil Iron trike and your mention of this build, I looked it up. All I can say is, Wow! The paint work looks just like you would expect a dragon to look like. Two thumbs up!
