sobpinstriping Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 hello again, i finished this up a few days ago waiting for some models to come in the mail. Its my first attempt at kitbashing, ive had the body and most of the parts sitting in a box for years, so i thought i would give it a go. This is also my first time using sophisticated finishes for the rust, im sure I'll get better with it the more i use it. for the headers i scratch built them out of solder and cut the collecters off of some headers that wouldent work for me( i wished i would of taken pics of them before i put it together they looked really good). I used a clear blue for the windows but it got really foggy, o well. The last thing i was pretty proud of which you cant see is i used a vapor barrer (silver paper used to cover insulation on walls, I got it off a job site) for dynamat, I'm going to start taking pics as i build. I know its not as good as a lot of people here but I'm still learning. As always comments are very welcome. cheers mat

Chuck Most Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Wow! Very nice... ESPECIALLY considering this is your first rodeo with kitbashing and weathering! We'll be needing to keep a close eye on this cat, for sure!
Guest old man Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 NICE BUILD FOR YOUR 1ST TIME AT THIS. WELL DONE
Greg Cullinan Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Nice work, the weathering is realistic and the gasser treatment looks true too.

Jantrix Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I like it. Looks very authentic. Nice work. The headlight is a great touch, as is the trim removal.
