JodyL Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Hey gang, been lurking for a while and decided to join the forum. Been an aircraft builder for 40 years and decided I needed a change of pace to get me out of the "slump". I have recently started on two auto models. An Indy car and a 1960 Chevy pickup. I'll post some pics soon. I've actually been enjoying these builds. Anyways, as a newbie here....here's a basic introduction. My name is Jody Male-45 years old(well, in a couple of weeks..) I live in Tulsa, OK. Blah, blah, blah.......
Railfreak78 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Welcome Jody. Funny enough I've had the itch for the last 2 months to start one of many of my aircraft Hope you like the place as much as I do. This place is addicting.
Guest Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Hi Jody, and welcome! Glad to see a aircraft builder trying their hands at cars. I occasionally dip into aircraft and helicopters. This is a great forum, lots of talent and helpful folks here.
JodyL Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 Thanks for the welcomes. And oddly enough, the only other forums I frequent now are modeltrainforum.com and agapemodels.com!! Jody
David G. Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Welcome aboard! You'll find that most of us have build interests in addition to the one that draws us here.
Jim Gibbons Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Welcome, Jody! As others have said, this is a great forum, and many of us build other types of models, too. There's a topic and contest going on WW2 racing planes that you might peek at: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32878&st=0 Enjoy the board, and I'm always learning new things after 45 years of building myself.
Chuck Most Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Welcome aboard... and you just might have the coolest last name in history!

Well, back in my army basic training days, the first and last name presented some interesting times with both the DI's and the other recruits. Jody
Guest Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Hey Jody, I'm over at Agape too, what's your username over there?

Jim, I've checked out that thread and it sounds like fun. Hmmmm.....should I? I have a lot of kits that would fit in that category. There were so many aircraft in WW2 that would have made great racers after the war. Jody
