Terry Sumner Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 To all of my friends here...please say a prayer or have a kind thought for the family of Trooper First Class Kenny Hall, who was killed yesterday on I-91 in Enfield. He was on a routine traffic stop, sitting in his cruiser when another vehicle plowed into the back of his cruiser killing him. Kenny came on the job in 1988 and started at Troop D, the same Troop that I started at. RIP Ken..... Terry Sumner Sgt., CSP Retired

charlie8575 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I saw the coverage of that on NECN this morning. When a police officer dies in the line of duty, it's always troubling. When it happens this senselessly, it's sickening. For those interested, the story can be found here. New England Cable News Charlie Larkin
highway Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 That's sad to hear, and it would not surprise me if the driver who killed him was either talking on the phone or texting while driving. If that was the case, it's just one more reason to outlaw using cell phones while driving! My prayers to his family and his extended law enforcement family.

Danno Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Terry, Condolences to your brothers, friends, and family in CT. Always saddening to here of one of our own going down in the line of duty, serving his citizens. It always hits home, and sometimes closer than others. Thoughts and prayers. Dan
