ewaskew Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 This is one that I build from the Revell kit. The drive shaft is missing, but I never put them on the shelf upside down anyway LOL.
kylexgore Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 nice build. what sort of mods did you have to do to get the frame to fit the body?
1320wayne Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Nice looking build. Killer stance. I'm a Mopar guy but if I were into Chevys this body style would probably be my favorite as it always looks good as a race car or pro street.
ewaskew Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Thanks for the comments. The Mods were nothing major,I used the Revell 55 chevy Pro Mod kit for a donor. A little reshaping at the top of the tubs with a file, then reshaped the interior door panels to fit. It do's have the wipers, door handels. If it was real life it would be a weekend racer and used for street driving.
W-409 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It's nice. Like those rear tires and stance. Paintjob looks very good and engine is very nice. I think, it doesn't look like pro mod. Don't know how it is there is USA but maybe that would be a street car...? Anyway, maybe Outlaw 10,5 would be the best choice for race class... Please, could someone tell me, what is the deal with Outlaw 10,5. This looks like it, but I'm intrested, here in Europe, we drive a class called Outlaw. Index is 7,5 and cars are driving with no any handycaps, with pro tree.
Jantrix Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Yeah, you captured that 1990's monochrome pro-street vibe perfectly. Great work.
MyBradKeselowski Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Nicely done,great looking drag Nova ! ! !
Brutalform Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Awesome build!!! Love the paint, and engine!!! I am using the same 55 Pro Mod kit for its chassis, and wheels, etc, to build a 55 pro street, using a regular old 55 body. Just as W-409 stated, it does not look Pro Mod, and that's exactly what I was looking for. The body that comes in the 55 Pro kit looks too "racey" for me. I wanted an old NMCA look. Did you have to stretch the engine cradle part of the tube chassis in or out? Also, what paint did you use on the carbs? I only have some Testors gold, but it never looks too good on a Holley carb though. Thanks Tom
3men2s Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 the bold lines on this 69 really makes a great pro street or drag car. and you gave it a great paint job, and come on install the shaft the little nova deserves to be completed. hope mine comes out as half as good.

Thanks Tom Tom,I can't remember if I had to change the front cage or not, seems like I had to move the firewall forward and build the floor pan to match back up. The paint is gray primer, white primer testors comp. orange, then five coats testors high gloss. The carbs.color is from the lighting there not painted. Thanks for all the comments from everyone.
