What thickness of plastic are you using?

Are you still using the "ForSale" sign plastic?

Yes this is all from the sign plastic, I'm not sure exactly how thick it is, it's about 0.5 millimeters.

Thanks all for your comments.

Wow, looks good! Nice talents you have, great scratchbuilding with this, I'll be watching this one. Can't wait to see this one is "Under Glass"- section, thank you for sharing this awesome build!

I need more updates! Have a similar project in mind. What glue are you using? Would love to see this car in person, any chance it will be at a local show in the near future?

That model is coming out AWESOME!!! Love the ALMS picture of the Camaro. Can't wait to see how it all comes out looking at the end.

No problem, let's see what you are using it for.

I'm using instant "medium" ca glue from Hobbytown.

I don't go to any shows, there aren't any in my area, although I would love to go to one if there were any close by.

Thanks everyone for commenting. I have a small update next.

The body has been painted and decalled..

Champion, Bell, Penzoil and TRW decals are dry transfers made for pine box derby car thingies. The rest are home made.

I've since clear coated the body and am just giving it time to cure.

I'll have more detailed shots of the completed chassis soon.

Oh this one is a winner for sure, man that is allot of tedious work, and it seems to have paid off for you. Its too bad I don't live anywhere near you so I can see it in real life at a show. Excellent Job! Five thumbs up if I had them :( .

Simply gorgeous build.

Thank you for the "FOR SALE" sign tip. I will use that in the future, it turned out great in this build! Amazing.

I'm a huge fan of ALMS and go to Mosport every August to watch, this car suits the racing class really well (although the #44 is already taken by one of the Flying Lizard Porsches  ). I also like the engine details and how you explained each piece on the interior how it was built. It always helps when a modeller shares his little secrets. Sometimes they're the simplest things that end up looking great in the end!

I look forward to your future builds.

I admit I did just pull the number 44 out of the air knowing that the odds of there being an existing team using that were good, now I know.

I had to give it some # though. I love the ALMS as well but I don't keep up too much on the teams.

Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Alyn, David and everyone else for your compliments. This build is done and I just have to take photos, I'll be posting it in "under glass" in the next few days.

^ It certainly doesn't change anything about your build, i'm just a big Flying Lizard Porsche fan. This is great to see a real life version of a conceptual render. What've you got planned to build next?
