Ray Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted this in the workbench Saturday thread. Well this kit has been sitting in a display case quite literally for years. Decided to go ahead and git er done!! Well a few more pieces of bare metal foil around the window and I will be forced to call it finished. Ya see I've had the decals to the passenger side sitting with the kit (next to it) for the same amount of time the kit has been sitting there. Well, when I placed them in the water they disintegrated into 1000 tiny pieces almost instantly. So I will be displaying this one driver's side only. Still looks nice with the finished kits though.
RodneyBad Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Is that the Johan Or Lindberg version? I'd guess Johan if the Decals disintegrated It looks Good Nice work.
Zhu Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) 405 hp….cripes a`mighty my big `ol Case was only 250hp. A great model of a wonderful bellowing beast. lovely build from a time when race cars needed drivers not I.T programmers. Davey who knows nothing about I.T. Edited September 21, 2010 by Dusty
Ray Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 Thanks a bunch! Nope it was the Lindberg kit.
W-409 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 That's looking very very good! Nice paintjob and decals are fitting very nicely. Foiling looks good too! But please, more pics!
David G. Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Back NASCARs were still cars and not space shuttles. A mighty fine build.
