Jim0205 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 This is my 1960 Chevrolet Impala. Done in Red and Black with a red, black and white interior. Paint is Color Place by wal-mart with turtle wax shine. Added flocking to the interior and the trunk. Foiled the body using foil tape, works fairly well this has been my best application of the product to date. Wired the engine and used the dress up pieces supplied by the kit. Great kit to build had some minor fit issues with the front suspension, crisp clean molding lots of optional parts to make it yours. Let me know what you think comments always welcome. Sixties Sam Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Great colors, and a really well done interior! Nice job! I would cruise in that in a heartbeat! Sam
Railfreak78 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 She looks beautiful. I like the suttle black out like a muscle car but on a classic. Interior is great. Very nice!
John Teresi Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Very nice!!!!!!.......that interior shot is AWESOME man.
dimaxion Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I like this one . I did the tail panel blackout to my '60 Bel Air tudoor sedan . it had a matching set of leakers . The I 6 Idiot light flashes on , stop and add two quarts of oil . The awsome slip and slide powerglide slipped , stop and add two quarts of tranny fliud . Life was much simpiler with my '60 Ford Fairlane . A non leaking I6 and a manual trans , three on the tree . I didn't have to carry a case of Oil and a case of tranny fliud . Oh the memories this triggered . Thanx ..
Jim0205 Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Thanks for the comments gentlemen glad you enjoyed the model.
davyou5 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 An Excellent build. You are making the Chevy fans very happy .
Greg Cullinan Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I may have said this before , black/red combo is pure sweetness. Very clean and smooth build.
The Modeling Hermit Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I had a 1:1 60 Impala back in the early seventies. It had a "6" and a powerglide, and was in a strange yellow color. Somehow yours looks like it might be just a little bit more performance oriented.
