Luis Ayala Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Here is another of my favorite builds. The Alpine Renault A110 car # 28 driven by Ove Andersson & David Stone, winner at Montecarlo Rally 1971.
Mr. Metallic Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I like that car alot. i've been thinking about buying that kit, and it was well reviewed in the magazines. Are there any problems with assembly?(I expect not since it is Tamiya)
ismaelg Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I always liked that car, especially the color. What paint did you use on it?

Are there any problems with assembly?(I expect not since it is Tamiya) Not at all, it is a pretty straight forward build. Beside a couple of mold lines the only isue I found was a little fitting problem on the rear windshild. But a little sanding took care of it in no time. The kit is fantastic and the best part is the decals!!!!!!!!!! (made by Cartograph) Awesome decal detail and some very nice "photoecth" parts. If you like it, go ahead an grab one; beleive me, you would not be dissapointed.

Hi Ismael, The Body painting was done using spray cans. I used a " Tamiya Silver Leaf " base, with two "mist " coats and two "wet " coats of "Tamiya Light Blue Metalic" on top. Then finished, with two coats of "Boyds Clearcote" with airbrush.
