G'day guys,

My name is Michael and I live on the left hand coast of Australia, or Western Australia, in Quinns Rocks a northern suburb of Perth.

I,m in forced retirement due to illness so the interweb thingy and building models is a big part of my days, but I have encounterd an issue that I don't understand and would like to find out what's going on.I found this site on the bottom edge of Model Car Builders Association, which I have been trying to join but they won't let me and say it's because, well here is the e-mail.Of course I can't ask them (not a member)so I'm hoping you may be able to. Many thanks, regards Michael (roadkill)

Hey there,

Yes Welcome here, this modeling forum is for all, around the world, and you will never find a more friendly place B) , though I could be wrong about that :D .

It sounds to me that you have two options. The first is to concern yourself with an organization that says they don't want you. The second is to come and join us and have some fum. From one lone wolf to another; welcome to the forum, and let's see some of your models.

Go the website called PhotoBucket.com, make yourself an account, upload your images, and then use the Insert Image link on the top when you are going to post. Copy the Direct link into the box and boom! picture is inserted B) .

Very good work on the Model you have shown us here :) . I want to see it finished :) .

My link

Yeah mate I'd like to see it finished too, so I'll keep ploding on with it and all the others, 'cause I'm building 6 of them in different forms, so far I have 1 finished,1 very nearly finished, and 1 well and truly started. I've also been scrounging parts etc for the next 2.

As for the photobucket thing all I can say is Doh!

I hope that's right, I guess I'll find out huh?

Thanks Michael (roadkill)and/or (mr casual)

Any web site that requires you to register just so you go in and look around is not worth the time or effort, IMHO. You are better off here!

Welcome to where the real modelers hang. There are NO rule here other than the old Golden one.

That E Type was looking very good!

Wow... an organization that looks for excuses to NOT let people to join? Hey, it may be your last communication with a real dinosaur... 'cause they will surely go extinct! They are NOT helping the hobby grow.

Anyhow, welcome to MCMMB! We are a friendly bunch (most of the time)... well, at least I think we have all had our shots and stuff.

We welcome all Aussies to our forum. Welcome Mate, well put a shrimp on the barbie for you!!!! Now how about trading us some nice 1953 Holden resin bodies??

If you want to post photos here from your Photobucket album (not just a link to the photo, but the photo itself)... you need to copy the information in the "IMG Code" window of the photo in Photobucket and paste that information here into your post.

That forum is for members of MCBA only. Its kinda like a private club house for the club to discuss goings on. MCBA is a great club with lots of really great builders in it but they are very selective of who they let into the club. Its nothing personal against you on them not letting you onto the forum it just they keep it closed to the general public to let them handle club business and what not. FYI.. Im not a member of the club nor do i speak for them. So take what was said above with a grain of salt. I am however friends with most of the members and understand how the club/forum works..

Welcome Roadkill! I visited another (diecast) site the other day and they also required registration before browsing, which I did, and then found nothing of interest anyway!

Sounds to me like that other web-site did you a favor.

Welcome to MCM forum.

I joined several months ago and am very glad I did.

Great bunch of guys willing to help modelers if needed.

I am shock to hear that as well, mostly most places wants more people to join "in" and not keep them "out". At least he found the better place to hang out on an that is on this site here! To bad for the other place that rejected him. :D

The Jag is sweet! The first REAL sports car I ever rode in was my cousin's XKE 2+2. I was about 10. I can still smell the wonderful mix of hot oil and English leather.

I love the weathering detail behind the exhaust and below the Fuel door. The exhaust wrap is pretty cool, too.

This is the coolest forum. The magazine is pretty top-notch, too.

Welcome! Really, you don't need another forum - especially one that denies you membership.
