Reeves Racing Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) Hi guys, I have had this kit and decal set in my stash for ages and it started calling to me last week. In a marathon build I have it finished and on my shelf. Revel kit #2874. Duplicolor Wimbledon White with Fred Cady decals and Testers "Wet Look" clear. I messed up the decal on the hood so I had to paint the stripes on it. Tires from the Revell Germany Ferrari 250GTO kit highly sanded and formed on a drill and tire decals. The wheels are resin copies from the Penske Sonoco Corvette kit. A few P/E parts. Box stock otherwise. Edited October 28, 2010 by seveeRRacing
Sport Suburban Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Nice job on one of my favorite kits!! I like that you did it as an updated to 66 car.
W-409 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Looking good! That is right style to build this kind of Mustang. White paint is smooth and decals are very nice. Hoosier tires, they are something, you see very rarely. Where are they from? I mean, where are those Hoosier decals from.? Engine detailing looks good, chassis is very nice... I can't find any mistakes from it. Very good job with this!
Reeves Racing Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Hoosier tires, they are something, you see very rarely. Where are they from? I mean, where are those Hoosier decals from.? Thanks 409, The decals are from SLIXX. They sell a sheet that has Firestone, Goodyear and Hoosier.
Greg Cullinan Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Always nice to see a Pony as a racer. Looks really nice and a great job with the decals.
David G. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Decals and paint are great, the whole car really looks "race ready."
Cato Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Great job. You nailed the race car look and atmosphere. The ride height change is just perfect.
