father and daughter build

My 10 yr old daughter and I started a model build today. We decided on the 55 Chevy Pickup kit. Tonight she painted the frame. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Me and my 13 year old grand daughter did one and it was a lot of fun.

She did the paint on this one.She was 12 at the time.

Father Daughter builds are always a good time.

My two daughters used to build with me, and now that they are grown.

And I now have a Grandson from one of them, I can't wait for a Grandpa Grandson build in a few years!

It got to a point where the local club in St Louis eagerly anticipated my daughter's builds. Every year at the contest they'd ask her if "what's his name" drove her there. I couldn't have been prouder.

Great bonding time and helps to teach patience. Pic is my (at the time) 14 year old building a Dodge Charger police car.

I agree it is good bonding time, with any of your children. I too hope that one day I will be able to share such qualities with my own children If I ever get the chance to have any. The Patience building part of it especially .

I have to wait a while, as our little guy is almost 2, but I'm looking forward to a few father/son builds in the future.
