riz Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 My 10 yr old daughter and I started a model build today. We decided on the 55 Chevy Pickup kit. Tonight she painted the frame. I'll post pics tomorrow. RIZ
ewaskew Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 This should be good, looking foward to it. Keep us posted Me and my 13 year old grand daughter did one and it was a lot of fun. She did the paint on this one.She was 12 at the time.
fastram Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Father Daughter builds are always a good time. My two daughters used to build with me, and now that they are grown. And I now have a Grandson from one of them, I can't wait for a Grandpa Grandson build in a few years!
Agent G Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 It got to a point where the local club in St Louis eagerly anticipated my daughter's builds. Every year at the contest they'd ask her if "what's his name" drove her there. I couldn't have been prouder. Good times G
David G. Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 My girl likes to get a little bench time with daddy too. She's doing some good nipper work right here: Waaaay too cute!
Murphy's Law Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Great bonding time and helps to teach patience. Pic is my (at the time) 14 year old building a Dodge Charger police car.
davyou5 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) I agree it is good bonding time, with any of your children. I too hope that one day I will be able to share such qualities with my own children If I ever get the chance to have any. The Patience building part of it especially . Foxer Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Great photo .. Doctor Model and her hemostat. My daughter never caught the model bug, but her excitement over my building a van she had is worth it all.
VW Dave Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I have to wait a while, as our little guy is almost 2, but I'm looking forward to a few father/son builds in the future.
