TheCat Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 This was a fun build. Another one that was inspired by watching the TV Show Overhaulin. Model kit from Revell. All sides, trims and rear chrome was done with Bare Metal. One panel at a time. Yes, I used Bare Metal for the rear hatch ribs as well.
DRG Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 That is one great looking 56 Nomad and I'm old enough to remember what they actually looked like.
george 53 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 VERY nice job, Felix, the color combo is RIGHT ON!!!! Looks GREAT!!! :D
sjordan2 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Superb. I don't know how you 1/24-25 guys do it this small.
Tijuanataxi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 That looks really great. I think the 56 is a "forgotten" year, stucked in between the 55 and the 57. Its a real beauty
fastram Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Very nice work. You got the look and the stance just right. Keep up the good work!
rustybill1960 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Very nice color combos! Really like your choices! Sharp clean build! Thank You for sharing Later Russ
davyou5 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Hey no fair showing this car when it is on your thumbnail , just kidding. I really like it, Excellent job on that .
Modellpularn Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I've been thinking of doing this car! That episode was one of my favorites. I actually built a '56 Nomad many years ago. I kitbashed two old Revell kits in the mid 70's. Time to build another one. Your model looks very nice! Now you only need the guy, and the box with donuts.....
crazyjim Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Gorgeous build. The '56 is my favorite of the Tri-5s.
Railfreak78 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Beautiful car and from one of my favorite shows too. I was actually picked for that show years ago with my 1980 GMC Jimmy and I got the news 2 weeks after I sold it Oh well I guess. I love the 56 and you really did it justice.
Monte's Motors Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Not a big fan of a '56 but that one has to be the BEST ONE I ever saw.
