Ferrari F60

This has been on and off the workbench o'er the past couple of months...

just put the finishing touches on this past weekend

Tamiya's latest venture into the modern F1 cars

My only complaint is the lack of detail and extra goodies regarding the engine area and how close the front /rear tires are in size (easy to confuse)...other than that it's an excellent kit and everything fit as one would expect of Tamiya kit.

Tried to paint it with ScaleFinishes Ferrari Red for this car, but after a few coats of color o'er the gold basecoat kept getting a black pigment popping thru...I'm sure it was something I was doin' wrong - might have been a little too aggressive on building up the color o'er the basecoat.

Ended up shooting Tamiya's TS-85 Mica Red Metaalic (designed for this kit). Went on really nice and appears to be the right color.

Stuck some aftermarket decals from Tabu to replicate the Marlboro Barcode

hope you enjoy...

Curt, another fantastic build. Glad to hear it fit well. I have this in my stash, but not sure if I am ready to build it just yet. I have the Scalefinishes paint too.

Again, I really like how this turned out. Love the car myself. Thought it was a beautiful design.

"Ok so, Fernando is faster then you. You can confirm you understood that message" :P I know that was this year but I hope Massa rips up the track this weekend at Brazil a little payback.

Yeah, but don't you know there are no team orders allowed in F1!?!? :D;)
