BHarrison Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) These are some shots of the 1962 Impala I have been working on this month also. I meant to have it ready for Atlanta but its not going to make it. I wanted it to look like the Impalas in the Goodguys Gazette. Its getting the smoothed underhood, Air Ride stance, 18"/20" wheels etc. THe body is also painted and cleared and curing as we speak. Edited November 20, 2010 by BHarrison

mikemodeler Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Stunning! Nicely detailed and well executed. Can't wait to see it done and some pictures in the sunlight, I am sure that color will pop then! You have given me some ideas for my '62 kit!
Dr. Cranky Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Beautiful build. I love the color, and it came together flawless . . .

MILD Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Amazing build. I love the extra details on the transmission! Excellent work.
sak Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 My only gripe is the color keyed alternator, everthing else is spot on !
BHarrison Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 My only gripe is the color keyed alternator, everthing else is spot on ! The reason I did that is because I do 1:1 cars that way when I build them with a smooth monochrome engine like that. Its about a two day process in 1:1 to do that. It involves a complete tear down then slicking down all the cast marks off the case then etching primer followed by sanding then three basecoats and three clear. Then reassembling the alternator and testing it. I think a high mounted chrome alternator on a solid orange motor is entirely too blunt. To each his own I guess. Lol
camaroman Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) Nice! Did I miss a mention of what color this is?? and are the wheels big and bigger Chrome T's from Pegasus? Really like the blended in alternator... like it disappears from sight! Edited November 21, 2010 by camaroman
