Modlbldr Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Cranky- This is all fantastic and very realistic. I love the work that you do and I am still waiting to try it. One question. What ModelHaus tire and wheel numbers are those on the blue truck with the webbing? Those are perfect for this style of truck. Later-

Dr. Cranky Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 The Modelhaus number for the tires is #190. It's a great set.
01blueedge Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 looking good in the first post how did you weather the wood for the bed? and also what are you using for the wood popsicle sticks or balsa wood? thanks
Dr. Cranky Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 I use bass wood from a company called KEPPLER, and I weather it by cutting grooves with a hobby blade, then staining it with the usual india ink/alcohol mixture . . .
juergen Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Juergen--thanks, if you follow the Fotki link you will find more pictures of the build. hi ! thanks for the link and your fiotki album is absolut GREAT !!!!! do you have pics from the building process in the album ??? i can´t find only pics from the finished. whow thats sooo great work !!! many thanks greets juergen
Dr. Cranky Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 I think I just took pictures of this one in the raw plastic, then of the finished model. If you look around there are other builds where I focus on the step-by-step.
Dave Ambrose Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 This truck looks like it's a WW 3 veteran. In other words, perfect.
