montelsc Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I finally finished my '66 Impala. Hope you all dig it! Mike looks great did the tourqe thrust wheels come with the kit?
58 Impala Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Very nice job. Did those wheels and tires come from the 32 Ford kit?
imatt88 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Awesome!!!! You should do atutorial on how you painted it, I've thought about using nail polish as well, but never knew what to buy Cheers, Ian
mcandela Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 The color is just dead on right on that car. Very nice!!
James2 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Very tastefully done, nice clean build and the colors are perfect. One question, I'm working on the same kit. Did you have trouble with the upper radiator hose?
Matt P Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I dig it, nice build, and the color is awesome.
crazyjim Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I agree with Ian - we really need a nail polish tutorial. My folks had a '66 almost that same color. I don't remember the model but it was a 2 door post, automatic with a six cylinder engine.
Bluzboy66 Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 Very nice job. Did those wheels and tires come from the 32 Ford kit? Tom, yes, those wheels and tires are from the Revell '32 Ford 3-window. Now I'm looking at the Modelhaus catalog, trying to match them up. I hope to order a few sets for future projects, and not have to snatch them out of an otherwise complete Revell kit! Mike

Did you have trouble with the upper radiator hose? The top hose was a bit of a pain, as I recall. As with just about every kit I've EVER assembled, something usually needs tweaking. Mike

Is there a protocol for this here on the Model Cars Forum?? Mike
TheCat Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I'm digging it!!! Love the color. What color is that?
