Mj-Styro Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Except for fiquring out how to do the black rubber strip in the bumpers shes done!! got a set of decals in the mail yesterday so i could get the passenger side finished off! here ya go!
Jairus Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Black rub strip: Mask it off and airbrush it! Very simple, you can do the masking with blue masking tape, no cutting, shoot the black under low pressure with the nozzle real close so no overspray. But don't put it on too wet or the paint will try to creep under the tape. Very nice build!
ismaelg Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Very nice MJ! Love it! Masking and airbrushing like Jairus suggested is the way to go. If the strip is relatively flat (not a ridge or anything like that), you can also try using a painted strip of masking tape and add just a touch of white glue at the edges to prevent lifting. Thanks,
DrewCfromSC Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Very nice, im getting parts decals togather to build my own after trading for a twister vega kit last week. Where did you get your decals from?
W-409 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Nice to see Chevrolet Vega here. I like the overall look, the paintjob is really good, and decals seems to be nicely on their places. Nothing wrong with this model. How about some engine pictures?
Bill Edman Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 awesome i am a vega fan and huge fan of grumpy
Terror Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Tape it off and use a black Sharpie marker.Sweet build, looks very nice.
Reeves Racing Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Nice build. I would use some black 3M or Trimline pin stripe tape for your bumper inserts.
Jeff Johnston Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 MJ.... Buddy...how the hack have you been ? You always have that rare cool stuff !!! Nice model as always MJ. Miss chatting with you and hanging out w/ you at NNL east. How many 67 Galaxies do you have stockpiled now ? LOL hahaha
surfjunke Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Nice build. Tape off & paint or use some black decal film cut to size.
