CodyZ28 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Not near the level of work most do around here, but I'm still learning. My girlfriend decided she wanted in the picture lol. My digital camera isn't working right now, so my phone had to do and doesn't take very good close up pics.
george 53 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Hey, not to worry, we ALL started slow. An your sweeties wearin some nice shoes there!(Kinda thin though, ain't she?)
crazyjim Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Get that digital camera working, Cody. Need more & better pics. I wanna see that engine.
CodyZ28 Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 Thanks guys. The engine is nothing special. And yeah, she is pretty thin lol. As soon as I get the camera working, I'll have more pics up.
CodyZ28 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 The car is about 90% done. The camera really shows spots that I need to touch up or redo. Definitely need some more practice. I would like to give this kit another shot soon. I'm very happy with the paint scheme, just wish I could have executed it better.
crazyjim Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Practice, practice, practice. The tunnel ram looks good and I like the idea of blacked out chrome. Paint looks a bit light near the bottom and there's that dimple on the fender. How about a little sanding and another coat or 2?
george 53 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 That's what I'm thinkin too, Cody. Unless you've glued that rasccal up. But those are just small spots. Overall, I like it too. Just take a little longer on the next one, an you'll be ok! ;)
CodyZ28 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Its not glued together yet, so I will be redoing the paint in a few spots. The silver paint is actually pretty even, I think the paper the car is sitting on is reflecting the light on the bottom of the car and making it look lighter than it is. Thanks for the help guys.
Modlbldr Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Cody- I like the work that you've done on that one. Yes, there are things that could be touched up or improved, but you could say that about ALL of mine too. That's why we build for fun and not for perfection. I really like the blacked out chrome. And you picked a great kit to start with. Looks good. Later-
