DRG Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Back in the early sixties Ford came out with a T-Bird that had three chrome stripes on the doors. I've searched and can't find what year it was. The wife wants me to build her one. Any help?????
george 53 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) 61 had 3 horizontal spears, one OVER the other in the rear of the quarterpanel. 62 had 3 horizontal grilles one IN FRONT of the other on the rear quarter. 63 had 3 sets of 4 louvers on the sides of the DOORS. Hope this helps. Edited December 12, 2010 by george 53
disabled modeler Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Maybe a 63? but not sure, you might try looking at photos of them on line?
MrObsessive Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 That would be a '63. Here's a pic of one in question.............. Also the only year of the '61-'63's that had the crease on the front fenders and doors.
DRG Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 yep, that Black beauty is it. Now if I can find a model of it I'm good. Thank you.
my66s55 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I can tell you who made a model of one as I have one in my stash. It's in 1/32 scale. The box is about 8"x11"x2" and was marketed by Revell. The outside of the box has a copyright mark followed by 1985 by Revell, Inc. Venice Ca-Molded by GUNZE SANGYO, Ind. Japan. It can be built as a hardtop or convertible and also has the hard cover that can be put over the rear seats. I purchased it from ebay about 7 or 8 years ago.
