Sport Suburban Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Here is a somewhat unusual Cobra. The street version on the 427 Cobra. This is the Monogram release of this kit from 1989. I wanted to make this one a bit more accurate by eliminating the racing pop open gas cap and the side pipes. So the exhaust is scratch built and reworked some headers for this build. I also used resin wheels I got from Reliable Resins. I also used Tamiya mica red spray paint for this one.
Adam deCoste Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 wow awesome paint job on that, looks great
Dave B Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 That looks great, might inspire me to build my 'stock' version.
bsoder Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Very nice!..I just finished this kit a few months back, I have it posted here buried in the ether!
Darin Bastedo Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 That is very cool. I'm the one who did the master for those wheels. You completed yours before I did mine, so now I get to see what those wheels look like painted...lol. Well done. now I can't wait to finish mine.
RatRodMarc Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 very nice build like the red very nice choice
W-409 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Very nice Cobra, and that kit is great too. I really enjoyed when I built it, something different than all of those Racing Versions. I like the modifications, what you've done. What about that top, it fits pretty nicely? My top was bit warped, so I had to glue it on.
