1/4 scale c-cab

i started a project 1 year ago. its a c-cab with a 426 hemi.it will be all scratch buit.except motor.will post picks soon. leave comments and tips please.

That is a really neat project. It will be awesome when finished.

Wheel ideas? The only thing I can think of is 1/4 scale r/c car wheels and tires. I looked on ebay and the only thing I saw is a set of dragster front wheels with tires. Not really appropriate for a street car.

I see you used plastic signs for the body. You may run into trouble if you try to polish the paint. Those large panels will flex like crazy, making it a pretty tough task, if not impossible. If you plan flat paint or even rust, then no big deal.

Unleash that hemi and it'll blow the cab right of the frame!!!! You definitely have some construction challenges ahead of you with this one.... especially at such a large scale.

thanks you. the panels are mostly metal. i plan on working on making some steering soon. i was thinking i might make wheels to.

did some work on the suspention and body. it is getting bigger. my new idea is a tow truck. i changed the wheel ideas to. it now has duallies.

i have begun to work on this nonstop so i can take it and show it in the summer. i have painted the frame and axels. i also made a tow beam and bed for the tow truck portion. i do not plan on making full fenders just the fenders in the front and maybe front fenders. leave comments and tips please.

i have done some work on it today withh paint and assemble.i added air tanks in the bed and a and started on the peices that actually tow a car.i also started on the inside of the cab. im going to put trim on the corners of the bodybut its gonig slow between school days.here are some pics. please leave suggestions.

Where are the wheels/tires from?

they are from a r/c dont know what size. but they are actually bigger in person than in photo for some reason.

well friday i built a seat and thought ya know i should show it off so i took it too googuys as awork in proggress. the guys running it were cool let me enter it for judges to look at not suprised it lost but im glad i brought it the little kids loved it

its so big when i moved my 1/24 out of the way i set them in the bed

the front broke a little carrying it to the table so we super glued it and our mistake was not checking to see if we glued it to the tables. that was fun to take off. good memories
