MyBradKeselowski Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 This is a fantastic kit to build and very well detailed. This is a must have kit if you like Mercedes. I added some different Aoshima wheels with P 7000 tires, detail painting, Testors clear glosscoat, and of course I built it my style. I hope you can see the detail this kit has with my build. Hope you like it... Thanks for looking and comments
voljeepx Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Looks good, Steve! I want to build a Mercedes now that I have seen the red coupe in the Christmas commercial. Interior looks real nice, too!
sjordan2 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Looks good, Steve! I want to build a Mercedes now that I have seen the red coupe in the Christmas commercial. Interior looks real nice, too! The red coupe should be the same as this one, only with the convertible hardtop up. Steve – does the kit have an up top?

Lownslow Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 not a big fan of that offset but it looks like a clean build
MyBradKeselowski Posted December 25, 2010 Author Posted December 25, 2010 Thanks lownslow, everybody for your comments...
davyou5 Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Hmm... I caught this build a little late, Well any way, I think it is an Excellent build! Super Job! B) .
TheCat Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Beautiful build. I'm planning to purchase this kit myself. Mercedes is one of a few Imports cars that I do love.
AceofBass Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I know I've read about it before, but what did you use/do to make the door seams black?
MyBradKeselowski Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks Blake, Felix for the comments
MyBradKeselowski Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 I know I've read about it before, but what did you use/do to make the door seams black? Justin, I flow just a little bit of flat black paint (bottle) with a toothpick in the panel lines...
crazyjim Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Nice build. I like the lines of that car and am thinking a hot rod Mercedes.
crazyjim Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Who makes that kit? I'm thinking a big block Chevy in it.
MyBradKeselowski Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Very nice build, but, those wheels and tires sticking out like kill it for me and they look really out of place on a car like that, IMO. Your model would look a LOT better if you could find a way to tuck them all the way up under the car, or if you used a set of narrower wheels/tires. That's strictly my opinion and my criticism is meant to be constructive ... I agree w/ Ken. Very, very few 1:1's have the tires beyond the fender openings (unless you are planning on going in mud or off-road). also notice I said "tires" only, as the whole Hellaflush / Stance / Fitment movement has made people obsess with getting their WHEELS to sit 'flush' with the fender, whether or not the tire does is irrelevant. Here is a 1:1 example: I still think this example's rear wheels / tires are out a bit too far, but IMO, looks Pretty darn good. Regardless, like Ken said, IMO also, the wheels and tires on your build could be 'tucked' a bit more, and not sticking out as much. I think it would greatly improve the look of your Build. Thanks guys for the comments The wheels ended up being farther out than they were supposed to be. The glue had set before I could fix them...
