kerc Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 This is a project that I started almost a year ago, let it drop, and now I'm back to finishing! Resin Tall-T body on a scratchbuilt chassis made with Plastruct (first time I do this!), engine, wheels and tires are from an old built kit that I disassembled. Paint is Tamiya, left satin on purpose, and cheap white enamel for everything else! The radiator shell was also scratchbuilt, as was the interior pan. The seat is a sectioned unit from a Lindberg '34 pickup. Basically what needs to be finished is the interior and some front suspension detailing, the windows, and it'll be done hopefully before the end of the month.
jbwelda Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 thats looking great! motor is super! i always liked that tall T body...the kit hasnt been reissued in some time i take it?
Draggon Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 That looks really cool. Thowes colors work great together. I love that flathead, nice detailing!
Krazy Rick Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I really like this one !! ....The body color choice really goes well with the wheels - thanks
kerc Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Thanks, guys! Small update...Put in the exhaust (this will be one noisy rod!), painted the interior and gave it texture with artist's acrylics, and mocked up the "radiator" shell. I think it looks kinda neat, with a 60's custom vibe to it. Edited January 12, 2011 by kerc
cruz Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Looks cool with those pipes bro, great project!!!
Jon Cole Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Sharp Tall T! Makes me want to start work on mine... too many other projects. Looking forward to seeing this one through!
LAone Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 this is one tall order of awesome-sauce bro. i like this a lot. 2 thumbs up!
Smart-Resins Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Alright, I love this! That is with exception. I personally dont think the green on the rims and motor POP. But overall style AND the color do POP. Nice build. Keep going! Dont stop now!
kerc Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Okay, a few updates! After painting the interior, I redid the seats by "upholstering" it with patterned paper I got at Michaels. I also installed a radiator and plumbed it, and added the front suspension links. I like where this is headed...
Scalper Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Really like the engine detail. looks real. Nice seats too.
GTMust Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Really neat!! Great upholstery work. Is it my imagination or does the car have magical cowl vent that appears and then disappears? Maybe that home made wine I had was just too strong!
