the list breaks down like this.

Red horse is war.

Black horse is famin.

"the four beasts that ride on white, red, black, and pale horses which each symbolize Conquest, War, Famine, and Death, respectively" from Wikipedia

but others refer to it as Pestilence. theres like a 50/50 deal on side says its conquest the other side says its Pestilence

So, I'm guessing you want to build a group of four cars representing these. What cars do you have in mind for each of them? This would make an interesting poll.

Skip, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess Mustangs. But, of course, I could be wrong.

I think a Yugo should stand for pestilence.

Lol im still planning the paint jobs. heck i dont even know what one of them stand for yet. but if it was a community build the builders would have to build all four cars representing each horse

appon further research i forund the white horse was renamed. It was conquest but now its known as Pestilence. so yeah now i gotta design the paint jobs for the cars.

the white horse is the anti christ (rev.6:2)

as Christ will come later riding on a white horse (rev. 19:11)so the anti christ comes on a white horse to decieve people into thinking he is the actual Christ

he will come fort conqeuring and to conquer.

this is mainly talking about a political rise to power, as you see he has a bow (symbol of militairy power) and he is given a crown (symbol of authorithy. the fact the crown is given to him shows he has no authorthy of his own. he also has no arrows with his bow and so he conquers by making false treaties

a lot of this coincides with the prophecies in daniel about the little horn and the goat

if you ask me, this white horse will need to have a almost glorious paintjob, after all, it is the impersonation of Christ

maybe a pearl white with tons of chrome, a very clean build for certain

the prhase "whitewashed tomb" comes to mind

ive heard this description of the anthchrist once:

. The Leadership of a Washington or a Lincoln2. The Eloquence of a Franklin Roosevelt

3. The Charm of a Theodore Roosevelt

4. The Charisma of a John F. Kennedy

5. The Popularity of a Dwight Eisenhower

6. The Political Savvy of a Lyndon Johnson

7. The Intellect of a Thomas Jefferson

one more thing, since the prophecy of the statue in daniel makes it clear he comes forth out of the reunited roman empire (think a unified europe) you may want to consider making this particular car european

the pale horse is more of a greenish colour in the origenal greek

that is the one who stands for pestilence and death (which is made clear by it rider)

revelation 6:8 : And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

(them being all horses, the sword belongs the the red horse, warfare, the hunger belongs to the black horse who will control the worlds resources and death (being a more natural death, like decease) to the pale horse)

how about war and famine?

i got ideas for the murals but its kinda hard to design a car around sickness and warfare

Posted (edited)

you mean, what type of car would i use for war and famine ?

all depends on what "feel" you want the build to have

war could be anything from the type of cars colonel dekker used to ride around in on the Ateam to a fully equiped tank

famine...what about one of those chuckwagon trucks that sell food at the constructionsites, all rusty and run down ?

and for sickness you could build a rusted out ambulance or overflowing hearse

Personally I don't see a lot of difference between conquest and war, so Id go with Pestilence if it were me.

For the murals a lot depends on the style you are going for, you could have a zombie theme for a modern style, dying plants or a plague theme (carts filled with bodies, marked doors etc) for something with more of a classic feel. Dying farm land or dead cattle could work for famine. War should be fairly easy to do, just have a scene of battle, skulls and bones are a common death theme.

I do like the idea of an ambulance for pestilence, and a hearse for death. Maybe a military vehicle (there are a couple of Jeeps in 1/24) or armor plating and weapon like appendages (lots of sharp pokey bits) for war. If war rides a red horse a red WW1 aircraft theme could work too (lots more options than just Richtoven's red triplane). The chuckwagon could certainly work for famine, similar thoughts would be any food theme, roach coach, refer truck, Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile...

The horse theme works too, so cars with a horse theme: Ferraris, Mustang, Bronco, Charger, Pinto?

In Pale Rider Clint's "preacher" rode a white & grey horse. The death on a pale horse was a clear theme of the movie.

Good luck, this theme seems like it could work well for you based on what I've seen you build.

Well, its obvious that Ford Mustangs would be appropriate vehicular representations of horses and bad experiences all together. :)ph34r.gif

BTW, I always thought MOPAR stood for Mostly Old Parts And Rust! :D

now you see, if you build quality cars they last long and have plenty of time to build up rust on those nice old parts

not like some manufactures "cough" chevy "cough" ford "cough" who put together cheap junk that breaks down and needs to be replaced before the clearcoat even wears of

(and dont blame it on the clearcoat iether)

So i decided what kit to use and what im going to do to them. im starting with famine first get the tough one out of the way lol. So it seems theres alot of interest in this as to making it a community build. if you guys are willing to do it i'll post it in the community build topic. my rules are simple have fun and have it dont this year.
