sjordan2 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) There is a virus or piece of spam making the rounds on Facebook that gets into your list of Friends and steals your identity and theirs to send out spam under your name, and eventually under their names. If you see this posting on your wall, DON'T OPEN IT, AND CAUTION YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO OPEN IT. Edited January 17, 2011 by sjordan2
Guest JamesDE Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Good lookin out man.... It happened to me once... A friend had posted on my wall with a link sayin he found a funny picture of me and stupid me opened it, and I became a host for spam. It was weird because after I got all the mess straightened out, Rick from Scaledreams was the one who told me about me sending him spam through IM chats on FB.... My account was temporarily suspended and I had to go through the ordeal of identifying friends based on their photos....
SuperStockAndy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Good thing I'm not allowed to get Facebook.
Jon Cole Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Good thing I'm not allowed to get Facebook. What? Not allowed? Is that part of the parole agreement?
SuperStockAndy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 What? Not allowed? Is that part of the parole agreement? I'm 12, and for some reason my parents won't let me get one
Danno Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I'm 12, and for some reason my parents won't let me get one Good parents. Listen to them; they're trying to do the best for you. There are some things that just ought to wait; no need to rush past your youth and headlong into the adult world. There'll be plenty of time later for playing grown-up, after you've had a chance to learn and mature at a sensible pace. Some things, like too much internet access, tend to prevent young people from getting experience and maturity before they start experiencing mature things.

Railfreak78 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Thanks for the heads up Jordan. Thats not the first one with that same girls name on it either. Also be weary of links being in the comments areas. Most are trouble.
Joe Handley Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Not problem here, I refuse to open a facepage account
