Space Cowboy Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) I have been working on this build for awhile..It's a 2006 Camaro body with a 70 Camaro rear roof section. I used the nose off a 69 GTO then i scratch built fender flares and front air dam.. More in the next post...... Edited February 6, 2011 by Space Cowboy
Mr. Moparman Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 That thing is going to look awsome when its done! You sould really think about having it cast in resin.
Nova-ss Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Lookin good so far.I like the looks of it.thanks,Chris
blubaja Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Sweet idea!! I love the integration of the 70s rear window. Front looks great too!
diymirage Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 i like where your going with this if i could offer a suggestion, i think a set of snowflake rims would really help pull the look together
W-409 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 This is turning out great! I like the job you have done with the modifications. Frontend looks good and rear also. It looks like new Firebird, that would be cool to see 2011 Pontiac Firebird even tough I'm not a fan of new Retro Muscle Cars... Why it is 2012, are you thinking about gettin' it ready in that year? And yes, ugly big wheels would fit. Like straight from Camaro kit?
imatt88 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) I agree with mirage, you should definately use the snowflake wheels. It would be awesome! And I also agree you should have it cast in resin. It would probably sell well. What kit are you using for a doner chassis? Good to know if it gets cast in resin. What paint scheme are you thinking about? Black and gold or white and blue? Nice work Edited January 23, 2011 by imatt88
Space Cowboy Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Which headlights do you guys like. The round ones or the rectangle ones.. More coming soon.....
diymirage Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 definatly round seems to have more character if you ask me
Tony T Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) Nice 2012! I built the 2011!! Round headlights, for sure! Edited January 27, 2011 by Tony T
charlie8575 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Neato. Round headlights and snowflakes or Rally IIs. Charlie Larkin

Space Cowboy Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Got it painted the color is Testors Graphite Dust also new wheels.... Hope to have more soon....
skmodelcars Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) Looking GREAT, Bruce! It's available in resin from Jimmy Flintstone. Edited January 31, 2011 by skmodelcars
skmodelcars Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 This looks more like the '67-'69 and new Camaro than the styling cues Bruce is using. It's always cool to see variations on a theme!
Poncho-Power Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 i got the same resin cast from Jimmy, although after getting it, and buying the camaro i thought of how easy it would be to convert the camaro to the T/A....Firebird....formula....
Foxer Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I definably like you nose as opposed to the JF concept. Looks much more "Trans Am". Now, just a big butt bird ...
Space Cowboy Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 It's finished and moved to Under Glass...
