Mr. Moparman
I am thinking about converting the AMT F&F Charger into a stock '70 Charger using a grille and insert from Modelhaus. What can I rob from the MPC '70 Super Bee kit and MPC General Lee kit? What will I need to get from Modelhaus besides the grille? I kinda want to stay within a $40 range. Thanks! ian ashton
I've never seen that kit open, but if you are going for stock I'd use te Revell '68 or '69 Charger for just about everything but the body, those kits have great detail, and I'm sure the interiors are close enough, being a hardtop it would be hard to tell. slantasaurus
The 70 Super Bee has the 70 high back buckets, but with the wrong (for the Charger) pattern. It is gonna take some work on the front fenders and hood to get the 70 bumper to work........
Mr. Moparman
Yep I know about that. Im ready with the amazing putty and evergreen and sandpaper to takle that.
Marc @ MPC Motorsports
Time Machine Resin has just what you need,, '70 body, bumpers, grille, hood, tail light bezel and correct interiour for 40 bucks. That would be the best bang for the buck assuming you already have the F&F Charger for the rest.
highway
Brandon, you don't have to worry about finding anything different in the General Lee kit, the F&F kit is just a slightly modified reissue of the General.

With the correct tunneled backlight, no less! Though I think I'd rather start with the Revell kit. One of these days I'd like to do a General Lee using the Revell kit as a base. Yes, it's nice after all these years they finally corrected the rear, but I have the same plans of using the Revell for a Lee.
