Bastardo Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Describing this project could be... Well... A bit funny... What I wanted is a French car to follow the French fighter jet theme. The plane I went for was a Mirage 2000, the car was a 1/24 die-cast Citroen C2 from Welly. I modified the body (wide body kit, clean look, ...). After that the complete car was wrapped in BMF, sanded and engraved to simulate the pannels on a plane. I also engraved all the rivets etc. The decals are from some Italeri or Revell kit, not sure... They are from a Mirage 2000, though. The interior has one seat (which was also modified to look like a jet-seat) in the midle of the car - like the jet Rims are 100% scratchbuit. The WIP can be seen on this link. Here are a few pics of it (More shots can be seen on this link): Stock: Now:
David G. Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Nice work, and very clever to boot. I like the way you shifted the driver (pilot) to the center. David G.
Foxer Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Lots of subtle touches and weathering .. I like it!
LAone Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 thats pretty cool. i like the look, it looks tough for a small car. very nice work on the weathering and the detail. i give it 2 big thumbs up!
Bastardo Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 Thank ya'll The weathering was done only by an acrylic wash and Tamiya weathering pens. They're great to work with, but don't use them out of the pen - use a stiff brush instead
