This was a "new tool" when released in 2000...

It was re-released by Round 2 as this kit...

Did the R2 release change drastically from the original release?

It was only ever run the one time in 2000 (I think) prior to the full parts kit under Round2. Molded in white this time around rather than that grayish plastic Ertl used. Edited May 2, 2015 by niteowl7710

Anyone have pics of the parts in the R2 release? Dang, I did not know it was different than the others. Is there a top for a hardtop?

In case anyone wonders, the custom parts from the original-issue 63 Thunderbird fit pretty well on the new-tool 62.
